I love to visit Chinmaya mission’s ashram often for the peace and sanctity it offers amidst the chaos of Mumbai City. I always make a point to get some books from their publication section. This time as I was moving around, a book caught my eye instantly. The title "Undoing" was somewhat unusual. I bought it just out of sheer curiosity and being a mission publication, I was sure it would definitely be linked to spiritual growth.

"Undoing -Returning To Simplicity" by Chinmaya Prakashan is written by Rudite J. Emir.

The author is a follower of Swami Chinmayananda and this book is inspired by his teachings. In this book author explains how to change our perspective towards different things or events in life through small-small exercises.

These exercises are a great way to gain understanding and clarity of many aspects.

Our thoughts are the one who can make or break us. We need to identify our real selves. We need to understand detachment in real terms to achieve happiness and fulfilment. This is possible while living in this world if we practice simple exercises and changes in our thought process. The book explains essence of Vedanta in modern context in a simple and lucid manner.

This book will be a great read for those who wish to explore the very purpose and meaning of our existence and who are in search of perpetual happiness and peace.
